ReMaking of JOBEN

I've been busy after i came back from Cluj-napoca doing  small projects and DIY products

But for now i am here to talk to you about the amazing contraptions i had the chance to create on my two month stay at Joben..

THIS PIECE I CALL
 BREAK TROUGH

We ended up having some scrap foam sheets with this mirror like reflecting cover, took and old painting frame, used the back of it to glue the cutout pieces of "mirror" and hands then started to glue vertical ones so it looks like the hands are breaking trough .

I've also glued LED strips on the bases of the hands and hooked it up to a 12 v power supply to give it a glowing effect.

I really enjoyed making this piece because its a bit on my dark artistic side that i like to fuel from now and then.

" Tribute to fishermen caught by the sea"

After i finished this i was asked what was my vision, why a "fish tank", being there all day and having create decorations one after another I've ended up having fewer and fewer materials, i had this old tv frame an old meat grinder and as i started to put the smaller parts together it ended up looking like a fish.
I really like the idea of automatons and old puppet show like backgrounds where people where moving decorations on the set using wires and pulleys.

Transformed the tv as it would be a fish tank and again used the mirror like reflective sheet to cut out some waves which i hooked up to a motor to make them move like there would be waves crashing

                 Steampunk Princess costume or
                         Victorian photo booth

This is another piece i haven't hat the chance to show last time i made an entry on the blog, it wasn't quite finished yet.

I had the idea for the old leather corset as i would use there cast decorations from the middle as it would be a heart, but only after i sat down and looked at it i realized this needed to have wings.

Again there when i needed material, the reflective sheet was present and easy to cut and work with, plus it gave a nice effect.

Only after we hung it up to the ceiling we bought a windshield wiper motor that it actually was for another project but decided that it would have looked way better on this piece

So we modified it a little used the wings on the turning heads of the wiper and we had a kinetic chandelier/steampunk princess/photo-booth

This is another interesting piece i made originally just as a display case nothing more,
we had a nixxie clock we ended up using inside that really pulled it all together and named it

The Victorian time vault

Then there where other small decorations i had to make here and there to bring the bigger pieces together
